Our ever so special Angela passed away peacefully with me beside her on July 27th 2024 . The day before she managed to get in a chair and we walked in the park, me getting instructions on the name of all the followers and trees, with a nibble of an ice cream that she chose from the care home cafeteria. The following day was a hard day, Robert was with her in the morning, Jeff and I (Lyn) stayed with her until late in the night. To our surprise, the Saturday morning she was watching the eventing on tv and chatting to me all about it. I got there in time to be with her for her last breaths. She knew I was there, and went in peace with even a smile to the nurses when they said I was on my way.. She had a beautiful ceremony in Geneva and a nice moment afterwards at Belle Ferme. Anyone wishing to make a gesture, we suggested a little dontation to our Saxo Association, for our retired horses and ponies, which was always important to Angela.
Sending big hugs to all who have been so supportive over these difficult last months.
Now we will keep Belle Ferme to her high standards and keep going and only getting better. Hugs to you all, and please don’t feel you need to keep quiet or keep away! She would like her beautiful Belle Ferme to stay lively and happy, and to keep up with Champagne & Gin Tonic and cups of Tea.. , and happy riders among all the rest.
