Belle Ferme is owned and managed by the Koppanyi-Stickland family who have been in the Pays de Gex for the last 25 years.
There are around 110 horses and ponys at Belle Ferme including club and private horses, and those living out in the fields and those who live inside (but get daily turnout!).
Our team of instructors, as well as their student teachers and apprentices, will do their best to make you feel at home here!

Testimonial Katie Paul – I moved to Pays de Gex in 2002, English speaking, and desperate to ride more, I fell in love with Belle Ferme from my first lesson and looked forward to Thursdays’ more than anything in the world. I was lucky enough that in 2003, Lyn managed to convince my parents to buy me my first horse. The rest has been history. From the age of 12, my horses have helped and featured in every life decision I have made. And while unfortunately, I lost my first pony in 2012, she moved from Geneva to Zurich and was a huge part of my family. I now still have horses, and couldn’t love them more if I tried.
To reassure any parents looking to buy their children a pony, Belle Ferme also taught me fantastic French and I now run a department in an International Business (when I’m not riding!) and this perseverance, passion and “joie de vivre” I really truly attribute to horses. In the word’s of Whyte Melville “I freely admit that the best of my fun I owe it to Horse.” I cannot thank Belle Ferme and Lyn enough for this huge love in my life.
